We try our best to simplify the process to make our members experience as quick and easy as possible.
Reach out to us and tell us a bit about the vehicle you're looking to register and which registration scheme you're interested in (Historic or Classic). You can connect with us in whatever way works best for you:
shoot us an email at hello@pandamonium-nsw.com,
fill out the quick form on our 'Contact Us' page,
send us a direct message on our Instagram account,
or you can message us on our Facebook page.
Once we receive your initial message, we'll typically get the ball rolling with your club membership. To get you registered as a member, we just need a few basic details: your name, phone number, email address, and home address. After we have this info, we'll send you an invoice for your membership fee, and once that's sorted, we can move on to the exciting part – your vehicle! You can also save some time by purchasing your membership on our online store.
Next up, we'll need some photos of your vehicle, we need to see:
the front of your vehicle
the rear of your vehicle
both sides of your vehicle
the interior
the engine bay
the engine number
the compliance plate (this shows the month and year your vehicle was manufactured)
any other build plates or identification labels you might have.
These photos help us make sure your vehicle meets the eligibility criteria set by Transport for NSW for either the Historic or Classic vehicle scheme. We'll take a good look and let you know which scheme your vehicle qualifies for.
For our classic vehicle owners: in addition to the photos, we'll also need a copy of your Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection (Blue Slip). If you happen to have a VSCSS Engineering Certification, please include that as well.
If you want to learn about the specific requirements, you can always check out our 'How it Works' page under 'Historic & Classic Registration.'
An approved inspection will be verified by our club president and will stamp the Transport for NSW vehicle declaration which forms part of the required paperwork to apply for conditional registration. Once all the paperwork is finalised on our end, we'll pop it in the mail to you via standard Australia Post domestic letter delivery.
Good news! Renewing your registration is usually straightforward. You won't need to send us photos again unless you haven't attended one of our club events recently or there has been some significant changes to the vehicle. Simply renew your annual membership and let us know your vehicle is ready for renewal. Once we have confirmation, we'll send your declaration form straight to you.
Thinking of adding another vehicle? Great! For each additional vehicle you wish to register, you will need to follow the initial registration process. You will not need to pay another membership fee, as your existing membership covers all vehicles registered under your name. However, while your initial membership covers the inspection fee for your first vehicle (on Historic registration), each subsequent vehicle will require a separate inspection fee.
For Classic vehicles, there will always be an inspection fee. Unfortunately, due to the costs associated with motoring council approvals for Classic vehicles, we are unable to waive this fee.
