To be eligible for the historic or classic registration scheme:
your vehicle must be at least 30 years of age or older, and
you must be a full financial member of Pandamonium NSW.
You need a number of documents to register a historic or classic vehicle. Find out about the difference between historic and classic vehicle registration below.
Historic and classic vehicle registration is for owners who only use their vehicles occasionally. If your vehicle is registered under either scheme it can only be used:
for our club events, including those hosted by our associated clubs or any other club who invites us to join them,
for short journeys to service and inspect the vehicle,
on longer journeys if you let us know first, and
for unrestricted use for 60 days each year outside of club events when you record it in your logbook issued by Transport for NSW.
Historic registration is designed for vehicles that are maintained as close to their authentic condition as possible. Historic vehicles have been subject to wear and tear and may have, over the years since manufacture, been repaired or restored, but that work should be in a manner sympathetic to their authentic condition.

require a Safety Inspection Report (Pink Slip) upon initial registration and renewals or club authorisation.

Classic registration accommodates vehicles with modifications. Significantly modified vehicles are ineligible for Historic registration and should be registered on Classic plates. These vehicles have substantial alterations from their authentic state, and may require certification from the Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme (VSCCS) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
